Lion and Shark in Ao Nang

It's hard to find good coffee around here and this one was pretty satisfying. The ciabatta sandwich is also pretty nice with the Thousand Island dressing.

impressive view and very tasty breakfast: a bowl of cereals with fresh fruits. the location is cozy and you can really enjoy the view drinking a nice coffee. congrats to the owner. I remember this place and I would go there is I would visit Ao Nang again.

Stellar smoothie bowls you’ll dream about after eating! We liked them so much we went two days in a row.

Location is above a shop, there are some ladders or you can walk further up the hill to take the steps into this place, had a really nice breakfast here, went for the Maya Bowl which is a smoothie topped with fruit & granola. Also tried the green tea latte which was delightful and served at the proper green tea temperature. This place is quite pricey but high quality in return

Despite other reviews I found the granola yoghurt portion rather small. It had 7 small slices of banana and one grape and 3 small cubes of dragon fruit and some decorative apple. The hot cappuccino was not hot and it was the smallest cup of coffee in my life, half of which was foam which I did not order. This visit is suspect to that days loose stool and belly trouble. The mountain view was covered with a sun shade. It took several minutes to start a process of getting a check and trying to exit. There was no change in register and no one knew what I had ordered but I had to recite to them what I had had. The restaurant played annoying backpacker teen age angst girl rebellion pop song cover records. The 9.0 review score bewilders belief.

Lively and totally cozy atmosphere with yummih smoothie bowls.Unfortunately there was no coffees the days we've been there (2 times). Staff is friendly but sometimes it takes a little long to get your ordered food.

Great place!! One of my favourite places in Thailand it’s chilled out in centre of Ao Nang! friendly staff good coffee excellent porridge with soya milk and seasonal fruit! Peanut butter on toast also delicious! Healthy vegan options:)

You don’t have the climb the ladder stairs to get into it - just walk a little further up the hill and use the normal stairs. The food is decent, nothing special, but worth the extra baht for the cozy ambience and cleanliness. You can fill up your water bottle for free and there’s a variety of seating styles (benches, seats and bean bag chairs) in the covered open-air dining area.

Best coffee in ao nang and the smoothie bowls are delish.

Hot cappuccino is delicious (90 bahts)! One of the 2 best i've had in 2 months from north to south in thailand and i'm picky. The iced cappuccino is not recommended though.Food was good also (sandwiches for about 130 bahts). But the hier price prevented me giving 5 stars.

Really cool space, and the optional staircase going up from the street is a fun element. I ordered the Caprese sandwich, which was pretty good but should probably be renamed to a pizza sandwich or something of the like. It's a toasted sandwich, with whole tomatoes, tomatoes sauce, pesto, and a sprinkling of cheese. Quite flavorful, but not what I envision when I order a Caprese.

Nice view and relaxt place to have your breakfast. Bowls are very good (can be shared if you’re on a budget) and coffee has a perfect taste. Latte art could be improved, hence the 4* 👌

Had a scrambled eggs (with mushrooms n tomatoes) on toast and almond milk costing 230 baht). The food is ok. Really like the decor and ambience. You have to climb a ladder-like stairs to reach the restaurant. It has nice seating arrangements ranging from tables with chairs to platform seating areas with pillows. Nice view from the restaurant.

Great food and lovely atmosphere! My partner and I shared a smoothie bowl and an iced latte. Only place we have found so far that has almond milk as a milk substitute! Both items were reasonably priced considering the area and much less expensive then any other restaurant we went to.

We ordered Poda Bowl. It's very nice! (THB 210). This cafe is on the 2nd floor. Music here makes the place good vibe. It's a nice place to come just chill or read a book. Don't miss if you come to Ao Nang!

Hmm even though it's 4 star rated, I think this place is overpriced.The snadwiches we got had half a slice of ham and cheese on them and were very dry.The coffee was tiny, not hot and tasted pretty good, not the best.Overall good vibe and cozy place but a bit overpriced at what we got for food.

This really is a lovely place close to Ao Nang beach. For unknown it might be hard to find because you have to climb a ladder to get into it but after that you will find a cosy place with exceptional friendly staff and delicious smoothies. You need to try it when you have the chance.

Such a cozy place to get coffee and/or something to eat. The menu is not extensive but the things they offer are delicious - had the banana Nutella toast, caprese sandwich, very berry smoothie bowl and a latte! The staff is super friendly and the view is beautiful! Highly recommend a visit.

My girlfriend and I loved our experience at Lion & Shark. The smoothie bowls were exactly what we needed amidst all the noodles and rice we were consuming while we were in Ao Nang. The atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back and the staff very attentive!! It can be a little hard to find but definitely a hidden gem down a side road and up a ladder!

Located right at level 2 of miniboxtel, in between P.K mansion and miniboxtel, there’s a small road where you walk, you will see the lion and shark signboard and have to climb up a ladder enter. We only tried the smooth and it was good, cafe is nice and cozy, good to chill and read a book or spend your afternoon if it is raining outside. But the service of the manage/incharge wasn’t very good, I bought a metal straw and she was reluctant to look for the size for me and the brush.

Make your way up the ladder (or go around through the hostel for an easier option) up to this super relaxed little cafe. Great vegetarian options and simple breakfasts. Great air and chilled seating on the floor.

Great coffee and sandwich shop. Both my daughter and my wife loved the hippie vibe and the views from the loft are awesome! Also, the ladder out front is super cool, but it's not the only entrance so don't lug two backpacks up it like I did!

The coffee wasnt bad, the sandwich was dry and very small, compared to many other restaurants in the area it is overpriced. 3 stars for the vibe of the restaurant.

Loved this place! From the delicious food to the friendly staff. It’s a very cozy cafe with a relaxed and warm atmosphere, perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee or grab something to eat. We stayed there for hours just reading a book, and they even invited us to try some of their tea. It was the perfect shelter for a rainy day!

It's such a wonderful place. The atmosphere here is very relaxing, the food is delicious, the waitress are very friendly. The seats on the terrace are the best.

Nice little Coffee shop with mountain, sea and road view. Coffee Was very good but as ever where in Ao Nang it's pretty pricey, but that's what you get in a touristic area like Ao Nang. Service was very friendly and fast on first order.

The staircase up to the cafe give an extraordinary experience to anyone dining here. They serve excellent coffee to start off the day and beautifully hand crafted fruit yogurt bowl. The yogurt with musli was really good, also the sandwich with scrambled eggs and fried egg. It has a nice mountain view. And a relax ambiance. It's the perfect place for having breakfast. The food is really cheap.

Though prices are not that low I really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere there. European hipster vibe, great roasted coffee. Poda fruit bowl was really delicious and very refreshing to start a day. Keep in mind the only enterance there is by climbing ladder kind stairs.
